Dear Visitor,
We just wanted to express to you what a pleasure it was to have you join us in worshiping our great God. Here at Springs of Grace Bible Church we whole-heartedly believe that all of life is about God.
One of the ways we like to say it is to say that God is the treasure. In Matthew 13:44 Jesus compares the kingdom of heaven to a treasure hidden in a field which a man finds and “in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field” so he can have that treasure. It is our desire to be a church and a people who view Jesus Christ as the greatest treasure in all of life. And we believe that Jesus is a treasure who ought to be embraced, not out of duty, but out of delight.
What we long for you is that you might come to see and to experience the joy of having been brought to God by the work of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:18). We want you to find that what truly satisfies is not relationships or money or status or comfort but God Himself.
We believe God has located our church near north and east Tulsa to give us a unique ministry in our city to all kinds of people. We are excited about being a part of a church that is united – not by our backgrounds, our race, or our social or economic status – but by God gloriously bringing us together based on our love for His Son, Jesus Christ and our love for all those God gives us to love. We’re not perfect people who are really good at ministry.
We’re imperfect, weak people with a perfect, powerful God. He is what people need and our desire is to be a church that takes the hope of Jesus Christ to the city we live in and to countries around the world. There are a lot of places and people who offer lots of things today. We believe that we exist to offer the people around us God. We want to help people know and love and treasure and become like God through Jesus Christ.
We hope that you feel at home here at Springs of Grace, regardless of your background. If we can help you in any way, please let us know. We believe that God delights to use the weak and the broken to display His glory and that God can bring you joy and Himself glory even in the midst of the darkest, most difficult times.
May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause you to go hard after Him all the days of your life.
Because of the Gospel,
Pastor Joe Blankenship
